  Were any divorced over oral sex?

  let me explain:.

  in times past, the society's policy was that a witness mate could divorce their mate who demanded or had them perform oral sex and persisted with their views.. later the policy was revised to mean a witness mate could divorce their mate who had oral sex with someone.....outside of the marriage.. are there any here who had this experience with the old arrangement, or do you know of any cases in which this happened?.

  my reason for asking is, i wonder how many lives were ruined by another wt blunder.

  This happens all the time. If one wants to lie and make up things they can get a devorce. What about the ones that go off and screw their best freinds wife, both get DF'd and six months to a year later are reinstated?....

  That is the big reason why my marriage broke down was because of the Jdub's archaic marital policies.

  Is life really better out of the org?

  it strikes me that as witnesses most can find many faults with the world and reasons why they want to be no part of it.. things are often exagerated or demonised in the witneses eyes.. does the same thing happen in reverse when you leave the org?.

  do we blow things up out of proportion to how they really are?.

  are we really that much happier as people than we were in the org?.

  Has the watchtower molded your personnality?

  lets be fank (o'er i,ve got to do something about my spelling .frank obviously)with ourselves here , especialy if you were brought up a witness.how much of what you consider to be you , your personnality your way of thinking, is a result of being a witness?.

  if you were brought up as a witness all you earlly years were exclusivly based on watchtower thinking .your parent taught you as instructed.. ok we went to school and learnt a lot of new things and met many different people, this will have effected us.. but many left school to again be only amongst other witnesses.. when you reason have an emotion or feeling about something do you wonder if that is really the way you feel?.

  Yes no matter how far we go away from the Jdubs, part of them stays with us. So we have to realize that this is part of us and understand our weaknesses.

  My son picked up on this fact pretty fast. He would say the Jdub teens his age were worse than the average "worldly" teens. I was raised in the troof myself and that was always my experiance. So if these are the freinds that Jehoba picks for us, I would rather take the chance and select my own freinds.

  while relaxing with my morning java at the local coffee joint i suddenly noticed window-washing equipment moving across the glassed surfaces of the restaurant.

  yes, there was one of the local j-dubs hard at it.

  the strange thing was the height of his helper ... about the height of an 8-year-old.

  I agree from my own experiences that by over protecting a child are not loving them. It is not until a Jdub has to get out in the real world and finds that they don't have the social skills necessary to deal with every day situations. They have to learn the hard way of being taken advantage off. I know from my own experience that I was overprotected and not being allowed to socialize with my peers. Just the little things like playing ball was not allowed. It seems like not a big deal but this is the way a young person learns social skills.

  he hasn't committed the "sin" in a year and doesn't plan on doing it again either.

  he has been very strong and wants to get reinstated.

  I agree with your points but one has to remember that 99.9% of the world is non JW's. Look at the potential out there if one just wants to bite the bullet, leave and not look back. What you have to remember is the JW's need us more than we need them. As the WT membership starts to decline and it starts effecting their pocket books, then they will start to make changes to their archaic system.

  That is the control aspect of the JW's. You friend needs to seek out a support group and read some self help books on how to build up his self esteem. Most JW's are approval seeking and have what they call codependent personalities. That is why cults look for these types of people because they are easier to control. Codependents are looking for approval fronm others. Your freind has to build up his self esteem and not look toward any man made organization for approval.

  Pictures in the mags

  have you noticed the pictures in the mags and books, when showing a picture of a witness house in a western land where they are prehaps having the book study or some thing similiar?.

  how come the house is always well decorated with nice matching furniture?.

  according to the society we should all be giving up our jobs and pionering.. a more true to life photo if we were pioneering like the mags say we should , be a few boxes to sit on along with some unmatching second hand chairs and table along with the partly decorated walls in a bed-sit.. so why don't they show the houses of pioneers when they use pictures?.

  I found that those elders that had the big houses and 2 car garages had a good education before they came into the borg. These are the ones that when they have worked for 30+ years at a six digit figure job and build up their retirement fund. It is so very easy now for those fat cats to say to go into the full time preaching work.
